Would you have a problem with men wearing skirts ?

A schoolboy in Cambridge is wearing a skirt to school in protest at the fact that pupils at his school are not allowed to wear shorts in summer. However the school dress code permits skirts to be worn and with the current PC climate cannot be gender specific with regard to the wearing of skirts. Aside from the fact that this is hilarious, would it not be better if more men wore skirts ? Surely modern women would have no problem with as they do not want to be restricted to gender appropriate apparel themselves. Surely both sexes should be free to dress as they like, mens clothing choices still seem pretty restrictive to me.
