Getting a nice phone without having a data plan?

no, t-mo wants a minimum $I0 per month data plan. I bought an HtC HD2 used on craigslist. The wifi works with my router even though I don't pay for data. It's not bad. Shortly after that t-mo had the hd2 for free, with a $10 per month plan. It would have been about the same price 24 months at $10. (the last time I looked they were a bit less than $200) I have gotten burned twice buying used phones on e-bay. This last time I contacted a private person on craigslist and dealt in person.
