Can I take my iPad on a Ryanair Flight to Ireland?

In a week, we're flying from Liverpool to Dublin on a Ryanair flight. We're only taking cabin luggage to avoid the excess costs! The question I want to know is if I can use my iPad during the hour flight? I know I won't be able to use the 3G capabilities, so it'll have to be on airplane mode (well, it's designed for that!), but can I simply watch a video on it? You can take your phone on, but I haven't been on a flight in a while and am not sure if the government are being all restrictive. So, considering I'm not a terrorist, can I take my iPad on the plane?
